Seoul: Bloom & Goute

30 Oct

No trip to Seoul is complete without a trip to Garosu-gil, a trendy and popular street in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu that is full of boutiques, cafes and restaurants. It literally means “tree-lined street” and has very pretty gingko trees adorning the stretch. It’s definitely a place to do some serious shopping, catch up with friends over a cuppa or people watch.

My Korean friend recommended Bloom & Goute along the main stretch for the coffee and desserts. It has very quaint dark wood interior and also sells flowers!

We sat at the al-fresco area and basked under the warm sunlight, on a lovely Sunday afternoon in autumn. There is a rooftop area but it was full so we settled for downstairs. Our iced café latte and espresso were both good . The desserts looked inviting (it’s apparently known for its cheesecakes) but a pity we are really too stuffed to try. Next time!

Cheery blooms!
